We are Big Eyes Long Nose (BELN), an independent animation studio built by two writers and filmmakers who care deeply about storytelling. Our journeys began with writing, reading, and observing the world, and eventually led us to animation as the most honest way to bring our ideas to life. Coming from backgrounds in astrophysics, journalism, and live-action filmmaking, we bring different ways of thinking into a shared creative process. We work primarily with 2D rotoscope animation, using movement and performance to build poetic, emotional, and reflective films. BELN is a space for curiosity, experimentation, and making stories that feel personal.
